Next week, the Adelaide Hills will be playing host to the Barr-Smith Cup, an annual polo event, perfect for group outings.

Next week, the Adelaide Hills will be playing host to the Barr-Smith Cup, an annual polo event which mixes the best of thrilling polo with a fun group outing to get you keen for the highly anticipated Verco Cup.

Located in Woodside, opposite the iconic Bird in Hand winery, polo lovers will be able to enjoy a fun atmosphere with their families while taking in the beautiful surroundings of the Adelaide Hills.

The roster you’re looking at is a Thursday match that carries on to Saturday and Sunday. Starting at 10am each day, the event is entirely free entry to each match which makes this event the perfect weekend activity for the those who are starting to feel the financial pinch of ‘Mad March’.

As well as free entry, there are with food and bar options in the mix. However, it is cash only though, so bring a few notes.

On the Saturday night, all you can eat lamb on the spit and live music at the polo field will be offered for $40 a head; with food service being from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

For the Sunday, you can purchase a Field Side Picnic Space for $200, which includes on-site car parking – making that picnic set-up and pack down much easier. These will be allocated in order of paid bookings. To secure a space email [email protected].
