The Adelaide Hills’ newest café, Hill’s Kitchen opens

The café, which was formally known as Marketplace Café, has had a complete refresh and is ready to welcome customers into their cosy new hangout.

After opening Friday September 24, the Hill’s Kitchen is Adelaide Hills’ newest café we think you’ll want to check out.

The café, which was formally known as Marketplace Café, has had a complete refresh and is ready to welcome customers into their cosy new hangout.

Taken on by new owner Travis Hill, the spot has had an all-new fit out, renovations and a more modern vibe.

The café will be serving up a menu with delicious breakfasts including jazzed up bruschetta and fresh berries with mascarpone cheese, as well as nourishing lunches including chickens salads, veggie stacks and open steak sandwiches.

Ingredients for the dishes are sourced close to home with local producers. There’s also an in-house baker cooking up fresh bread.

Not only will the dishes taste amazing, but they will look it too!

Chef Lauren Page says the meals will be plated gorgeously and appeal to all your senses.

“The new café is very welcoming, and homely,” Lauren says.

“We want to mums and bubs to come in and we’ve got couches to relax on too.”

The café has a whole retail section selling goods from toys to teapots giving visitors even more reason to pop past.

Travis has worked with the Littlehampton Marketplace next door, which is a store similar to Tony and Mark’s, and he’s also worked with Tony and Mark’s in the past too.

He was originally giving a helping hand at the café but then took it on himself to give the space whole new look and feel.

“After years of working with some of South Australia’s finest businesses within the food industry, I have decided to take the knowledge from working with these incredible clients to create the Hill’s Kitchen,” Travis said on the Hill’s Kitchen Facebook page.

“As a passionate foodie and ambassador for all things local to South Australia, the Adelaide Hills was the perfect location for the cafe experience I wanted to create and share with you all.

“Supporting local is the key here, so the Hill’s Kitchen will use all local suppliers and produce to showcase the best that the Adelaide Hills has to offer.

“If you’re looking for that perfect spot for your cup of coffee, delicious homemade classic food or just great vibes, then the Hill’s Kitchen is the perfect spot for you.”

The Hill’s Kitchen is open 7:30am-3:30pm Monday to Saturday and 8:30am-3:30pm Sundays.

You can keep up to date with their Facebook and website.

It is located at 67 Princes Highway Littlehampton.
