The Archer Hotel is Set to Party Again This Weekend

After a lengthy renovation, and new owners coming on board, The Archer is rejoining North Adelaide as a solid all-rounder of a venue.

The Archer has certainly been missed over recent months.

The historic hotel closed its doors in November with a “Drink Us Dry” party, but the bar is about to be reborn with a makeover, with the ALH Group again taking the reins.

While the doors opened quietly this month, there’s a huge opening weekend planned, with drink specials, entertainment and DJs.

A redeveloped beer garden and internal refurbishment have been completed, to give the iconic venue new life, which will complement the fare coming from the kitchen by head chef Tony Kartono and team.

You can expect all your old favourites on the menu, including wood-fired steaks, vegan and vegetarian dishes and classic pub fare, all of which will be served up this weekend.

If you love your sport, the big screen will be showcasing your favourite matches, with footy and cricket games tipped to be the hot ticket, alongside reasonably priced beer and food.

Its close proximity to Adelaide Oval is still a massive drawcard, particularly with footy season in full swing, so expect it to be a place for pre-game bevvys or meals, or after-match celebration drinks.

Functions are also back on the menu, with a variety of upstairs rooms available for private hire along with capacity of up to 300 people.

With more renovations set to come, it seems this grand old dame of North Adelaide will once again be part of the precinct landscape. Just in time too, as there’s a series of other new restaurants and venues opening in the coming months.

The Archer Hotel is at 60 O’Connell Street, North Adelaide

Grand opening celebrations are this weekend starting Friday 3rd May.
