The Asian Street Food Bazaar is back in Adelaide this weekend! The popular open-air event will once again fill the CBD with the flavours, sounds, and energy of Asia, but this time at the Market Shed on Holland Street. Kicking off on Saturday February 22nd from 5pm and continuing on Sunday February 23rd from 12pm, the event will see a weekend full of street food, live entertainment, and a energetic cultural vibe.
For this second season, the bazaar is moving to a new location, setting up at the Market Shed on Holland Street. After its debut success on Franklin Street last December, the event has grown even bigger and better, with an expanded line-up of food vendors, and an absolute feast of traditional and contemporary Asian flavours.
Vendors from across Asia will be serving up their most unique dishes. If you attended the last event, you’ll remember the crowd-pleasers like juicy chicken skewers and those insane giant squid sticks. This season, however, the organisers promise to crank things up a notch with even more exciting dishes and new flavours.
The Asian Street Food Bazaar was born from a passionate group of Chinese and Malaysian locals, who wanted to bring the authentic, bustling experience of traditional Asian markets to Adelaide. Their dedication to creating a culturally alive and community-focused event has paid off, as seen by the positive feedback from the last event.
There will also be live music and entertainment throughout the evenings, and it’s sure to add to all the fun that’s already going down in Adelaide, with the Adelaide Fringe and Gluttony in full swing! Be sure to check it out this weekend.
