It’s officially festival season here in Adelaide, and boy, are Adelaideans ready to celebrate.

So much so, festivities are being taken to the streets!

The east end’s Bent Street, right next door to The Austral Hotel, is just one laneway set to come alive every weekend for the whole Fringe season – starting this weekend.

Enjoy live music, flowing drinks, and great food alfresco-style every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night for the duration of the Fringe. Balmy summer nights have never looked so good!

Bars and food trucks will be set up in the laneway, featuring a variety of flowing drinks and delicious food. Artificial grass areas and plenty of seating will make for a comfy night under the stars.

The parties will run from 5pm until late each night of the weekend, so you’ll be able to settle in for a whole evening full of fun, or simply pop in for a drink between Fringe shows – it’s right around the corner from Gluttony and the Garden of Unearthly Delights.

The ‘Laneway Series’ parties are being hosted by a variety of Adelaide’s greatest collectives and brands, including The Front Room, Spin Lizzy, Open, Snake Pit & The Austral itself.

Each Saturday night, one of these hosts will take over the party and bring guests a curation of tracks, showcasing their unique sound.

COVID-19 restrictions have ravaged Adelaide’s live music scene, so this is a great opportunity to head along and show your support for some artists who may be doing it tough.

You’ll find The Austral’s Laneway Series parties on Bent Street, Adelaide.

The east end fun doesn’t stop there! Just around the corner, the Ebenezer Night Markets are back for another year, transforming Ebenezer Square into a vibrant backdrop for people to select treasures from stallholders and dine amongst a rotating list of food truck vendors. Find out more here.
