Adelaide is a seaside city, so we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to seafood. Fresh, delicious and available, it seems that options are aplenty, and when it comes to mussels, the choice is clear. The Belgian Beer Cafe are famous for their pots of mussels, especially on Mondays when they’re half price!
So when we discovered that the Belgian Beer Cafe are holding a mussel eating competition on July 21st, we felt it was our seafood eating duty to share the news!
While all the details are yet to be confirmed (watch their Facebook page for updates) we thought it was definitely worth marking this day in your calendars, and rounding up some mussel-loving mates.
To give you an idea of the amazing options on their menu, there’s the Bloody Mary mussels, which are steamed with Vodka, tomato juice, celery & Worcestershire sauce; the Thai Green Curry mussels; and even the Mariniere Mussels – plus more. And the beer options there are endless, with some incredible brews for those wanting to expand their repertoire
