This week is no different and we’ve been spoilt for choice – here at Glam Adelaide, we’ve compiled a list of unmissable events from Friday to Sunday to make your selection that much simpler!

Friday | November 12

Italian Festival

The annual Adelaide Italian Festival is kicking off this Friday, November 12, with a massive celebration of Italian culture, food, wine and more across the city over November.

The opening night will take place at East End transforming the space into a mini Italy. The event will see drinks and food flowing from Vardon Avenue venues including Mother Vine and East End Cellars. While East End is usually buzzing with excitement on Friday nights, the Italian Festival will see that taken to a whole other level, with plenty of Italian wine flowing, perfect for after-work drinks, and tasty bites to eat.

Saturday | November 13

National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant

The Southern Hemisphere’s largest pageant is taking place this Saturday, November 13 at Adelaide Oval, officially marking the beginning of the festive season!

 Father Christmas will officially declare that it’s Christmas time with the high-anticipated event featuring an array of fantasy, colourful characters, bands, dancers and an exciting four new floats.

This year, the tickets were allocated through a ballot to abide by COVID restrictions, however, Channel 9 will be live streaming the glittery festive pageant for all Adelaidians to enjoy! To help you get in the festive spirit, National Pharmacies has put together a bunch of free activities that’ll transform your home into a Christmas wonderland. You can read that here.

Jacob’s Creek x GAJA by Sashi Kitchen Takeover

Join Jacob’s Creek in the heart of the Barossa Valley this weekend for a tantalizing fusion of Indian, Singaporean and Malaysians inspired cuisine, prepared by Masterchef Winner Sashi Cheliah.

Sashi’s food will be authentically true to taste, bold, robust and full-to-the-brim with flavour, and uniquely paired with stunning, exclusive cellar-door only Jacob’s Creek wines. Urban Craft Beer Crawl

Get ready beer lovers! The Urban Beer Craft Beer Crawl is coming to Adelaide this Saturday in what is set to be a day of beer-fuelled, boozy goodness. 

Designed as a pick-your-own-adventure crawl, punters will be able to meander through Adelaide’s small bar scene at their own pace and taste the fruity, hoppy produce of SA’s thriving craft beer industry.

Craft beers on show for the day include an array of the Mismatch Brewing range, the Sparkke Beers collection, Vale Brewing, Big Shed Brewing, Little Bang Brewing, Uraidla Brewery’s craft range and the new Bowden Brewing selection.

Willunga Almond Blossom Festival

The Almond Blossom Festival is celebrating all things almonds and good old fashioned fun this weekend, with show rides and family activities, in a jam packed schedule sure to impress the whole clan.

Willunga Almond Blossom Festival goers can expect to see and enjoy circus performers, animal petting zoo’s, sing-alongs with local musicians and an impressive array of market stalls across the weekend.

In ode of its name, the Willunga Almond Blossom Festival will also be hosting an introduction to their almonds with “Meet the Growers”, as well as an almond cracking competition on the final day of the event. The festival will boast a range of delicious foods, wines and beers for every tastebud in attendance from classic ‘carnie’ food to wood fired pizza, burgers, Asian dishes and healthier options available.

Tickets to the Willunga Almond Blossom Festival are $10 for adults, $5 for concession holders and students and $25 for a family pass.

Sunday | November 14

Glen Ewin Spring High Tea

Join Glen Ewin Estate for their annual Spring High Tea afternoon, filled with all things live music and a delightful spread of mouth-watering bites this Sunday.

The stunning gardens of the Adelaide Hills winery is a must-see for South Australians, particularly in Spring, and what better to enjoy the warmer weather and beautiful Glen Ewin scenery than with a spot of High Tea. Guests of the spring soiree will be greeted with a glass of Glen Ewin’s Gatehouse Sparkling Brut on arrival, setting the tone of the luxurious afternoon. Unwind on the stunning lush lawns of the Glen Ewin Estate as you enjoy the delicious High Tea surrounded by the bountiful and beautiful Adelaide Hills scenery.

Glen Ewin’s Spring High will be hosted on Sunday, November 14 between 2pm and 4pm.

2KW Spring Brunch

Your Sunday brunch this weekend is about to get even better with 2KW’s Spring Brunch returning.

From 11am until 1pm, 2KW will be offering the ultimate spread with the ultimate views from its prime rooftop spot.

With the marquee is down and the spring sun shining bright, 2KW is where you want to head for an elegant feast of all things sweet, savoury and bubbly for $90 per person.

Multicultural Festival

Experience and celebrate South Australia’s cultural diversity, with Multicultural Festival returning to Adelaide this Sunday.

Finding its home in the vibrant Tarntanyangga/Victoria Square precinct, the city will transform into a hub of song, dance, arts and culinary delights for one day only, showcasing over 50 cultures and featuring 70 community groups in South Australia, bringing the state’s cultural diversity to the big stage.

Listen to the stories and learn about the history and tradition of SA’s multicultural landscape at the festival, with an array of interactive activities, stalls and live performances throughout the day.

From South America to Asia, Africa and more, the immersive Multicultural Festival lets Adelaidians experience the rich culture woven into the state’s fabric.

All Weekend Activities

Immerse | LIGHT

The west end’s hottest new bar, restaurant and live performance space, LIGHT, is hosting IMMERSE – a month-long celebration of the future of entertainment.

The hero piece of the event is Immersion, which invites you to experience – and actually interact with – a vivid story that plays out all around you.

It’s a world-first, interactive, 360-degree animated show held in a breathtaking new venue within Light called ‘the Ellipse’. The Ellipse features a giant oval shape screen, making visitors feel as if they are standing within the animated environments around them.

As a part of the IMMERSE celebration, LIGHT’s award-winning restaurant AURORA will host special Immerse 5 and 7-course degustations and a series of augmented reality-enhanced cheese, oyster and charcuterie tastings within a new pop-up bar overlooking Light Square.

IMMERSE – and its headline experience Immersion is running from November 5 to November 28 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Feast Festival | Adelaide

Adelaide Queer Arts and Cultural Festival, Feast returns this year following last years pandemic-plagued event. They’ll be coming back stronger than ever, with a stellar line-up of music, theatre, cabaret, drag, comedy and much more.

This weekend, Libby O’Donovan is presenting her ’20 years of 20 songs’ at the Space Theatre, moving crowds with her evocative jazz voice and powerful lyrics. There’s also plenty of other exciting events occurring in Adelaide, including writing workshops, the Ukelele Dream Girl concert and a Hurly Burly Happy Hour at Hula Hoop in Sempahore.
