It’s closing time for 2022, but when it comes to Adelaide’s best new bars, you’re far from being cut off… Yet, at least.

Glam Adelaide have compiled a few new debonair and decadent drinking destinations deserving your patronage, praise and craze. So, if you’re longing for liquor libations at local locales, look no further than our list!

Vault 91

Adelaide’s premier business destination, Vault 91, is offering five-star coffee by day and world-renowned wines in the heart of the CBD by night. The bar is designed to dazzle with lush lounges, intimate booths, and floor-length blush curtains draped around the bar. This bar might lure you in for a knock-off drink, but it will keep you there for hours.

If you’re after the pinstripe suits of Manhattan in the 80s, tie your tie and polish your chocolate loafers, slip into your high-end high heels, because this dynamic whirlwind of Westpac whimsy is ready for you.

Located at Westpac House, 91 King William Road, Adelaide. To find out more head here

Society

Adelaide’s east end has gained another gem for the Rundle Street strip. Society is a bar that you can feel comfortable in, as the owners carefully curated the space to be casual, but with a luxe vibe. Sit back and enjoy your cocktail of choice with some tapas prepared by their in-house chef, the perfect way to finish your week.

Located at 279 Rundle Street, Adelaide. To find out more head here.

Silver Brewing Co

Silver Brewing Co is a city-based brewery, restaurant and bar, which hosts its Silver Disco Club every Friday night. While the word ‘Disco’ does spark thoughts of Saturday Night Fever and the Bee-gees, new house DJ Ezee G has assured us that the music will be more ‘soulful house music’.

Located at 200 Gouger St, Adelaide, find out more here.

Fleet Street Social

A hot new cocktail bar and eatery has hit Port Noarlunga bringing all day dining, live music and a funky feel to the South. Dripping in 50s retro pink charm, Fleet Street Social’s laid back and funky vibe is the perfect setting for an arvo drink and a boogie and with its ideal location in the heart of Port Noarlunga, it perfectly fills the South’s cocktail-bar shaped hole.

Fleet Street Social is located at 1/32 Saltfleet St, Port Noarlunga 5167. Read more about it here.

Hades Hula House

Earlier this year, the residents of Semaphore mourned the loss of a cherished structure on the main strip. However, it wasn’t all doom and gloom with the popular tiki bar, Hades Hula House, not closing completely, just moving on to bigger pastures.

Glam Adelaide have previously covered the transition from beach to CBD, which you can read here.

Hades Hula House is located at 128 Hindley Street, Adelaide.

Nevermind

The team behind acclaimed wine, amaro and cocktail bar, Leigh Street Luggage, has unveiled its sister venue Nevermind, bringing together the finest cocktails and tastiest gourmet toasties in the heart of Adelaide’s bustling small bar scene.

UCB Bar Semaphore

UCB opened October 8, blasting Semaphore Road with mocktails, cocktails, burgers and pizza. If you’re strolling back from the beach after grabbing an ice cream from the Royal Copenhagen, you might want to keep that sweet tooth satiated with the arrival of the UCB cocktail catalogue.

The Spice of Heaven is a fan favourite, which contains Midori, Malibu coconut rum, pineapple juice and Real Coco, which is then garnished with a pineapple slice.

High Spirits Bar

‘High Spirits’ is located just off iconic Hindley Street and is the culmination of the owner, Jamie Tierney’s lifetime of love and passion for high end cocktails mixed with an upbeat atmosphere.

As soon as you venture up the staircase of the 1890’s Quelteller House building you will be greeted with friendly staff in Hawaiian shirts and the sounds of hip-hop and soul music.

Guests can make themselves comfortable in one of the venues luxurious booths whilst the bartenders create something unforgettable for you.

Overlooking the bustling East End of Rundle Street, The Refreshment Club is a snazzy and sexy cocktail bar situated above Two Pot Screamer.

With an eclectic drinks list and nostalgic snacks all night, the joint is your new late-night fling; dark, sexy and moody. Retro colours, sharp shapes and vintage-style furniture give it a 70s feel but with a modern twist. Sunken leather booths line the inside walls with pink-speckled marble featured throughout but it’s the outdoor deck that is the real drawcard.

The Refreshment Club is located at 285 Rundle St, Adelaide SA 5000.

Pastel Wine Bar

Pastel Wine Bar in North Adelaide is spearheaded by the creative minds behind some of Adelaide’s favourite small bars and cafes. The new neighbourhood bar and dining room brings together Elijah Makris and Saba Maghsoudi of Pinco Deli, Daniel Vaughan of 1000 Island, and artist and designer James Brown (Africola, Chicco Palms, Valentino’s).

In addition to an extensive wine list, the menu features a mix of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Asian flavours, heavily inspired by Israeli-born British chef, Yotam Ottolenghi.
