School holidays may be over, but that’s no excuse to stop the family adventures. The Gardens Café, Kiosk & Events located in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens is a great spot to take the whole family on a little, local, and lush getaway, right in the heart of the city.
Whether you are coming here with the kids, meeting friends or going on a date, The Simpson Kiosk of The Gardens Café, Kiosk & Events has got you covered. It’s hidden away in the greenery, which is gorgeously rich, shady and home to a heap of local wildlife.
With views of the lake and rolling lawns, it’s the perfect spot to sit back and relax with a coffee or wine, while your kids run wild in the picturesque park. Pair this with alfresco dining under the trees and you’ve got yourself a beautiful set up. The simple menu is based off local and seasonal produce and is freshly prepared daily.
You can also grab some snacks or takeaway food and drinks and go find a spot to throw down a picnic rug, making your outing a bit more old school!
The Adelaide Botanic Gardens are free to enter, boasting car parking on Plane Tree Drive (bring some coins!), plus wide paths throughout the garden making it pram and wheelchair friendly.
Your kids can explore the Gardens to their heart’s content as you make the most of your New Year’s fitness resolutions and follow along behind them. There are plenty of places to keep them busy, including the Palm House, the Bicentennial Conservatory, and the Amazon Waterlily Pavilion.
The Botanic Gardens Café, Kiosk & Events is open weekdays from 8am-4pm and weekends from 9am-4pm. You’ll find it whilst strolling through the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.
