The Bowerbird Market Is Back Bigger And Better For Its Spring/Summer Edition

Australia’s freshest design ideas and talent will be showing off at the Bowerbird Market in November; it is set to be the biggest and best yet with something for everyone…

Bowerbird has announced the 130+ designer makers from around Australia, selected to take part in their highly anticipated Spring/Summer market, to be held at the Adelaide Showground, November 20 to 22.

Representing the cream of the country’s fresh design ideas and talent, these small business owners are committed to presenting small runs of high quality product, often meticulously hand crafted or detailed, and made in Australia with home grown materials.

Amongst the new faces to Bowerbird are 20+ new South Australian designer makers, taking part in Adelaide’s premier design showcase for the first time – including glass artist Andrea Fiebig; graphic designer and artist Kels O’Sullivan; eyeware designers Established Eyewear; and Nzuri Organics, hand crafted organic body products.

New interstate exhibitors include Melbourne based leather ware designer Sarah van Oosterom; Vinyl Cuts, creators of vinyl record accessories; and Amindy, Australian and Scandinavian inspired homewares and accessories. Plus Perth’s Kookery, hand made designs to quirk your kitchen; and Sydney’s DAN300 colourful homewares, accessories and stationery, to name just a few.

And of course there are many returning stallholders, who have developed a strong Bowerbird following, including Adelaide’s Kitty Came Home vintage accessories; Frock Me Out custom made dresses; and Days of August jewellery and accessories; alongside Sydney’s Stonemen, digitally printed scenic underwear; Newcastle based custom clothing designers High Tea with Mrs Woo; Brisbane’s Zillpa rope homewares and accessories; and Melbourne’s The Little Veggie Patch Co heirloom seeds and books.

Bowerbird’s Spring/Summer 2015 market runs for three days across the second to last weekend in November, and this year it will be more spacious and better than ever before! A new temporary pavilion will be added to the Stirling Angas hall to house a lovely undercover area perfect for al fresco dining, meaning there will be additional space inside.

They have also extended their Friday trading hours to start at 2pm (rather than 4pm), for those who can come early and beat the crowds.

With easy access via public transport and onsite parking available, it would have to be Adelaide’s most relaxed Christmas shopping experience, offering quality onsite catering from some of South Australia’s amazing artisan foodies, music and entertainment, children’s activities, lovingly created outdoor picnic spots and more.
