The Collins Bar will celebrate all things martini inspired for its latest limited edition June/July cocktail menu, launching Monday 1 June.
Martini Month will see a variety of gourmet martini recipes hit The Collins Bar, with the classics taking a backseat for the wilder spirits and garnishes set to steal the limelight.
General Manager of Hilton Adelaide, Peer Norsell said the new martini menu was both daring and exciting for martini connoisseurs as well as for those wanting to try something out of the ordinary.
“It’s not every day that you get to drink a martini served with popping candy, fairy floss or even candied lavender. The Collins Bar martini menu is a delight for the sight and senses – you will be taken away to the olden days, your childhood and everything in between,” Mr Norsell said.
The Collins Bar mixologists have been working for months in the lead up to create the limited edition menu, taking inspiration from savoury and sweet martini recipes.
Bar Manager at The Collins Bar, Mark Sinclair said, “It doesn’t matter if you’re talking about food or drinks, some flavour combinations just work – so we’ve taken some well-known food pairings and put them into a glass.”
“The martini menu features 6 limited edition flavours to suit everyone’s personal taste. If you are yet to try a traditional martini, these fun cocktails will be sure to ease you into the trend.”
The Collins Carnival is one of the newcomers to The Collins Bar martini menu – boldly mixing Elephant gin with fresh pressed lemon juice and bitters, served up straight with a popping candy rim and fairy floss.
Other martinis on the menu include the Sloe Down, Chemistry 101, Breakfast at Collins, Sparkling Spider (a grown-up spider martini) and Tea or Tequila.
Check it all out from June 1st at the Collins Bar, Hilton Adelaide at Victoria Square in the city.
