If you’re feeling elegant, check out this list of High Tea locations in Adelaide.

Because who doesn’t love tea, cupcakes, pastries and scones – not to mention a cheeky glass of champagne or two!

Bridgeport Hotel – Brand-new pub the Bridgeport Hotel has just opened in the town after a $45 million transformation. The new venue boasts multiple eating areas, and one has a high tea menu! Expect various scones, sandwiches, tarts, and muffins, this area is perfect for your deluxe dining needs. 

The Pastel Teacup – What might be arguably SA’s most instagrammable cafe, The Pastel Teacup is a softly coloured, pastel dream come to life, and they do a brilliant high tea in Strathalbyn. The fairytale style tea house offers a selection of teas, barista-made coffee, plus homemade sweets. They also have a range of boutique giftware you can browse while you’re soaking up the serenity.

InterContinental Adelaide – Enjoy an elegant afternoon High Tea at the Intercontinental’s Riverside Restaurant that features a range of gourmet sandwiches, freshly baked scones and delicious sweets. Quite possibly the perfect complement to any Adelaide afternoon.

When: Saturdays & Sundays at 1pm and 2pm

Glen Ewin Estate – The glorious Glen Ewin Estate takes bookings for High Tea every weekend from 2pm to 4pm. Expect the usual high tea fare with the added bonus of figs and fig gin. You really can’t go wrong here.

El Limon – The place to go if you’d like to organize your very own fully inclusive pop-up High Tea event at home. El Limon provides the crockery and table decorations, with the option of tables and chairs if required. They can also create a vintage style picnic and dessert table, and you can choose from three different types of High Tea menus that include French press coffee and gourmet tea from T-bar. Delicious treats and an awesome event made super simple.

Lenzerheide – Featuring scones with jam and cream, sparkling wine, sandwiches, savouries and delectable sweet treats, the Lenzerheide High Tea is a top-shelf experience.

In addition, the grounds of this silver-service restaurant are beautifully maintained and the staff are regularly rated as exceptional. No expense spared here.

Stamford Grand – From curry puffs to quiches, and scones to hand-rolled truffles, this relaxing afternoon High Tea offers bottomless Dilmah tea and has the added bonus of offering spectacular views of Glenelg beach from The Promenade Restaurant. A cut above the ordinary.

When: Weekdays 11.30am – 2pm and 3pm – 5pm Sunday sessions recommencing Feb. 21

The Rising SunWith tea served from T-bar and a Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay upon arrival you know that these guys are serious about their Hgh Tea. Follow that up with sandwiches, scones and petit fours of the highest order, and this might be one of Adelaide’s best value and most underrated High Teas.

Udder Delights – Perfect for the cheese lovers, this High Tea in the hills is a delicious combination of savoury and sweet.  With gluten-free and vegetarian options available, your booking includes a glass of sparkling wine, and of course, bottomless tea & coffee. A pure joy 25 minutes from the city.

Hahndorf When: Every day from 10am – 3pm

Utopia @Waterfall Gully – Nestled at the bottom of Mt Lofty next to a beautiful waterfall, Utopia serves up sandwiches, scones, tartlets, macarons, truffles, cupcakes, fudges, quiches, muffins, gelati bites, mousse cups and more! You can also purchase extra wines, pink lemonade or tea and coffee as you please. Sounds like they’re living up to their name.

When: Sunday High Teas are from 2pm – 4:30pm for groups of up to 8. High Tea Celebrations are Wed-Sun AM or PM for a minimum of 8 guests. Sugar & Spice children’s parties are also available by appointment.

Mayfair Hotel – Experience the opulence of Mayfair Hotel’s Mayflower Restaurant. Offering a huge range of pastries, panna cotta and sweets, the Mayflower’s afternoon High Tea is the perfect way to accentuate your weekend in Adelaide, in the heart of the CBD.

Blue Velvet Artisan Pizza & Pastry Lab

High Tea Cruise on The Popeye

Yes, you are reading that correctly! Join the Popeye crew for a 90-minute cruise along the River Torrens combined with an authentic High Tea experience.  Pre-order a bottle of something special and enjoy a selection of finger sandwiches, scones savouries and petit fours.

Tealicious Cakes

Made fresh daily, this High Tea menu includes a selection of ribbon sandwiches and quiches, warm scones with strawberry jam and cream, and assorted cheesecakes, tarts and macarons. Served with bottomless loose leaf Queen Anne breakfast tea or coffee, this a High Tea with some serious style. Well worth the trip to Willunga.
