Mother’s Day High Tea Events

Crystal Room (Stamford Plaza)- Mother’s Day High Tea

Enjoy a beautiful high tea in the elegant surrounds of the Crystal Room. Mums will receive a glass of MUMM Champagne on arrival and our live pianist will ensure all your senses are delighted.

Ginza Miyako Mother’s Day Japanese High Tea

If you want to treat your Mum to something unique this Mother’s Day look no further than this wonderful event at Ginza Miyako. This will be the first, and only, Japanese style afternoon tea in Adelaide. There will be complementary sparkling wine on arrival and unlimited espresso and tea for the afternoon.

InterContinental Adelaide – Mother’s Day High Tea
Indulge and treat your Mum this Mother’s Day with a High Tea experience in the elegant and grand ballroom. Enjoy an afternoon filled with delectable high tea sweet and savoury treats perfectly complemented with continuous G.H Mumm Champagne along with tea and coffee. The afternoon will be hosted by Lisa McAskill who you might know from Channel 9’s Building Ideas or Postcards, where you will enjoy an elegant fashion parade from Adelaide’s own Liza Emanuele. The Flying Trunk – Mother’s Day High Tea
While away the afternoon with a glass of GH Mumm on arrival, followed by endless tea from French boutique tea house La Maison Du The. High Tea fare includes a selection of delectable finger sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, sweet and savoury pastries and tartlets.

High Tea All The Time!

Da Vince’s – A basic high tea with a mocktail provided on arrival. This spot is a family-owned and run cafe/wedding venue at the owners home. Quite a casual affair.

El Limon – This is where to go if you’d like to organize your very own High Tea event. El Limon will provide all crockery and table decorations, plus there’s the option of tables and chairs if needed. They can also create a vintage style pop up picnic and dessert table. Choose from three different types of High Tea menus for your guests. Delicious treats and an awesome event made super simple for you.

High Tea Temptations – High Tea Temptations is another Mobile High Tea service. They are based out of Nairne in the Adelaide Hills. They can customize a menu to your liking and their service has a continuous flow of tea and coffee. All items being baked fresh to order and the staff have over 30 years baking experience. Yum.

InterContinental Adelaide – A well presented and truly delicious high tea in Adelaide. The best part is that you can choose the level at which you wish to indulge. If you’re after something a little different (and caffeine injected) perhaps try their High Coffee which is $59 daily and includes an Espresso Martini upon arrival, Café Freddo and your choice of coffee or one signature café corretto as well as tasty and modern bites to eat.

Just Tickled Pink – The setting is as the name suggests, very pink. The crockery is gorgeously mismatched and rthe walls donned with quaint embellishments (including an Audrey Hepburn wall.) special pink mocktail on arrival, a hot frittata or pastry, followed by tiers of assorted yesteryear sandwiches and cupcakes, sweets, slices, chocolates and scones with jam and cream, all served with traditional afternoon tea.

Lenzerheide – Featuring scones with jam and cream, sparkling wine, sandwiches and savouries and delectable sweet treats too, the Lenzerheide High Tea is great suburban experience. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff have exceptional service.

Mt Lofty House – This is only available by private function and requires a minimum of 15 people to be booked in. Having said this, they have been running historically since 1852, and so they have High Tea down to a fine art.

Stamford Grand – From curry puffs to quiches, scones to hand rolled chocolate truffles. This affordable high tea is great if you just want to do something a little different on your afternoon with a loved one.

When: Weekdays 12pm – 5pm. Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays 12.30pm – 2.30pm & 3pm – 5pm
Cost: From $25.50pp to $39pp

Stamford Plaza – Another High Tea addition from the Stamford group, in an inner city location. Perhaps take your mum or friend shopping and end the afternoon with a gorgeous high tea. They have all the trimmings and tea and coffee throughout. We recommend the Indulgent High Tea option so you can try the yummy ham and cheese brioche.

The Brasserie at The Hilton – A tasty experience with its homemade delights, accompanied with a Dilmah Tea Bar and a Haigh’s Chocolate Bar. Enjoy live music, cocktails (including tea inspired) and of course Champagne!

When: on Saturday & Sunday’s from 2pm – 4:30pm.

The Old Curiosity Shop and Tea Rooms – Think fine china, lace and crystal. You can have  breakfast served the High Tea way or a traditional high tea. The location itself is very traditional too, like stepping back in time.

The Rising Sun – Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay served upon arrival (that’s just the way we like to start) followed by sandwiches, quiches, scones, cakes AND petit fours. The tea is from TBar (so you know they’re serious).

When: Wednesday and Saturday from 2:45pm to 5pm.

The Topiary Café – We couldn’t recommend this spot highly enough, for all occasions. They hand make each item to perfection. Whatever they can’t pick from our very own veggie patch is sourced locally.

Udder Delights – Perfect for the cheese lovers! A great combo of savoury cheesy delights and sweets too.  Just a note that high tea is served in their underground cellar, please note that it can only be accessed by stairs, they have no lift access. So if you have someone who struggles with stairs you can request to have your high tea in the cafe area when booking.

Utopia @Waterfall Gully – This is a new addition to the High Tea list, starting this month at Utopia. Nestled at the very bottom of Mt Lofty next to a stunning waterfall. They serve up sandwiches, scones, tartlets, macarons, truffles, cupcakes, fudge, quiches, muffins, gelati bites, macarons, mousse cups and more! You can purchase extra wines, pink lemonade or tea and coffee as you please.
