Canadian art rock band The Darcys today release “Warring” the band’s third release and final installment in a trilogy of albums that included The Darcys (2011) and AJA (2012).
Fresh from a JUNO Award nomination for Alternative Album of the Year, “Warring” was produced by Tom Mcfall (Stars, Snow Patrol, REM) and mixed by Dave Schiffman (Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, The Mars Volta). The album was written over three years and recorded in Toronto during the final six months of 2012 with a focus on sonic detail inspired by the history of great studio opuses.
Having previously toured Australia supporting Queensland band The Medics and also showcased at renowned industry conference Big Sound, this isn’t the first time Australian’s are hearing of The Darcys. If the international acclaim circling around this album is anything to go by, it seems we’ll be hearing about them a lot more.
