Usually, when you’re invited to a 2nd birthday party, it’s something you attend out of obligation with the intention of leaving as soon as the cake is cut. But when the birthday is for one of Adelaide’s best live music venues, it’s a different story.
This weekend, The District at SkyCity is celebrating two years of bringing craft beer, live music and all the sport you could ever need to Adelaide’s casino, and they’re doing so in style.
Over four days, the onsite brewery and sports bar will be putting on a host of food and drink deals and live music, with free entry across the whole weekend.
The first day of celebrations just so happens to fall on the first day of Summer, an occasion alone that is worth celebrating, and the Pirate Life Crush Bar will be opening from 2pm to quench that Summer thirst from the get-go.
Things will pick up on the second day of celebrations as Pirate Life launch a special birthday beer for the occasion which will then be available for the duration of the celebrations.
All of the famous daily District food deals that we know and love will be on rotation with $10 Burgers and Sandos on Thursday, Bottomless Burgers and Beers on Friday and Saturday and $10 schnitty’s on Sunday as well as the best value Happy Hour in Adelaide that runs from 4pm – 7pm.
Since its opening in 2020, The District has solidified itself as one of the top live music venues in the CBD with its stage seeing everyone from huge acts such as Eskimo Joe and Killing Heidi to up-and-comers through its annual Battle of the Bands competition (which is the biggest of its kind in SA by the way.)
The District has become an integral part of our cities event scene and if the past two years are anything to go by, there are bigger and better things to come.
