It’s a verifiable summertime hub, teeming with patrons who come in the form of families, uni students, and the odd international visitor drawn by murmurs of the biggest burgundy collection in SA located in the mysterious cellars.
The Edinburgh Hotel & Cellars is currently in the midst of its massive 150 year celebration, therefore it’s unsurprising that additional changes are taking place, to further set The Ed apart as a high calibre pub.
The beloved beer garden is transforming into a winter destination this June. After floating the idea last year, and garnering an extremely positive reception, the Ed team decided to bring back back the winter transformation.
Throughout winter, the beer garden will feature three large booths accentuated with rugs and cushions and multiple fire-pits (a wintertime necessity). And before you dwell on potential rain, let it be noted that the entire pop-up will be undercover.
Sounds cosy, doesn’t it?
Winter at the Ed is looking like a huge destination, but keep in mind that Tuesdays nights are already guaranteed to be busy. Either book ahead of time or rock up slightly earlier than you would normally to nab a good seat!
The winter transformation will launch in July. We’ll keep you updated on the progress.
The Edinburgh Hotel & Cellars can be found at 7 High St, Mitcham SA 5062.
