The Food Truck Haven Of Summer Is Coming Back Bigger & Better Than Ever

Food Truck Movement is set to be bigger and better this summer.

After a three-month hiatus in the winter season, Adelaide’s first permanent food truck park, Food Truck Movement (FTM), is coming back to the Adelaide Showgrounds from Friday, 20 October.

FTM has promised another stellar lineup of local food trucks, a new custom-built bar, delicious coffee, and plenty of awesome music acts. So far we’ve seen the likes of, Squid Inc, Gourmet Grillerz, The Pasta Guy, ChurrOZ, Crepe Bar, Bohemian BBQ, Taste Of Spain, Beyond Indiaand so much more. They’ll have South Australian wines on offer alongside Pirate Life, Mismatch, Prancing Pony beers on tap as well as Aussie Cider. Next weekend there will be acoustic music on Friday to ease you into the weekend, a Resident DJ on Saturday who will pumping out the tunes and local band, The Incredibles, on Sunday.

The idea for FTM came after John McKay and John Hall, saw a similar event in Victoria and other major cities, and decided that Adelaide should join in on the fun too. Not only can you find plenty of space to chill out, loads of parking spaces and real toilets (no portaloos!!), but you’ll also be supporting some awesome South Aussie small businesses in the process.

FTM has even expanded to cater Slowlife car shows and are looking at bringing curated Christmas markets to the Showgrounds between 9-24 December. But they’re not just taking over there! The FMT crew remind us of the beauty of being mobile. You’ll find these guys are collaborating with the World Solar Challenge, the Semaphore Road festival and the Pacific School Games (happening in December) this year. So if you’re organising and event and keen on some of Adelaide’s favourite curbside foodies being there, definitely get in touch with FTM.

They’ll be open every Friday-Sunday from the 20th October. FREE ENTRY! Located at Goyder Pavilion, Adelaide Showgrounds – Cnr Goodwood Road & Rose Terrace (next to Jubilee pavilion & The Ferris Wheel)

Opening times:

Friday from 5pm
Saturday and Sunday 12pm-late
