The term ‘taking the world by storm’ is thrown around a lot… But we think when it comes to Adelaide’s very own fashion designer extraordinaire Paul Vasileff, the creative genius behind Paolo Sebastian, this phrase is perfectly suited.
He left jaws on the floor and tears running down the faces of grown men at his Adelaide Fashion Festival runway show in October last year. Corinne Foxx wore one of Paul’s designs at the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, and it was a show stopper. If you haven’t heard of Corinne, well then maybe you have heard of her dad, Jamie Foxx? Yeah, no biggie (OMG this is a total biggie)! After being named Miss Golden Globe 2016, the model/college student actually approached the label through her stylist in December. And considering Miss Golden Globe assists with all of the Award handing out on stage, the world really did get to see exactly what Paolo Sebastian is all about.
In light of this amazingness we thought it only right to throw together a list of the five huge events that have been lucky enough to have a Paolo Sebastian gown grace them (yes!!):
2016 Golden Globe Awards
Okay so we are starting with the obvious and afore mentioned Globes. Corinne Foxx, a.k.a Miss Golden Globe 2016, looked absolutely stunning in her show stopping sheer gown from the Nightingale collection. She wowed on the red carpet before showing up on stage throughout the ceremony to hand out the Awards to winners. Did we mention that these Awards are televised to 167 countries worldwide? That is huge! Paul also dressed the beautiful E! News host, Catt Sadler, for the 2014 Golden Globe Awards.

2015 AACTA Awards
A little closer to home now, Paul dressed one of Australia’s most famous models for last year’s AACTA Awards. We would of course be talking about the statuesque beauty that is Megan Gale. We will just leave you with this photo (WOW)…

2015 Country Music Awards
America loves their country music, so these Awards are a big deal! The gorgeous Kelsea Ballerini glowed in her Paolo Sebastian gown as she swanned down the red carpet. FYI Kelsea is set to be a huge American country pop star and is definitely making her name known on the country music scene.

Remember that time that a Kardashian wore a Paolo Sebastian gown? Well we do because love them or hate them, this was a big win for this Adelaide fashion house! Head honcho and self proclaimed ‘Momager’ Kris Jenner did look gorg in her ethereal gown.

2014 Academy Awards
Now you might remember that zipper incident with this dress and then E! News Giuliana Rancic… Let us set the scene. It was the 2014 Oscars and Giuliana was co-hosting the red carpet with Ryan Seacrest. The stunning dress that she was wearing had not been seen by Paul for over a month and it featured an invisible zip. Tricky little things that do have a tendency to break… And it did. But seriously we aren’t even looking at the zipper because, well, that dress. Just wow! And Giuliana seemed to forget about the issue and poured praise on to Paul for creating a beautiful princess dress. We totally agree!

These are just a few of the red carpets that have seen Paolo Sebastian strut down them, there are so many more! We couldn’t end this ode to the genius himself without a special mention of the label’s appearances in British Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar Australia and Marie Claire China. Just outstanding.
