The Henry Austin Presents A ‘Show All Preview’ This Saturday

This coming Saturday, May 28th is when new restaurant Henry Austin will really lay it all out there with an extended run through of their menu and wine list, a taste of house cocktails, live music and the debut of their underground HA.Bar location.

Last week we had a look through the astonishing 5 week transformation currently under way at the old iconic Chesser Cellars in the heart of the city. New tenants, the ambitious new restaurant The Henry Austin, are racing towards their launch in early June, working alongside Renew Adelaide to revitalise one of Adelaide’s most famous food locations after years of dormancy, into a dining experience the likes of Adelaide has never seen before.

Their condensed time line to launch has resulted in an around the clock working vigil from their team, with owners Maxwell James Mason and Tessa Footner presiding over all aspects of the project. With the venue starting to take shape, this Thursday the team will begin the first ever test run of their kitchen, historic multi-story pulley cart service system and of course, the dishes they are considering for their menu.

While Thursday and Friday will act as warm ups, this coming Saturday, May 28th is when the Henry Austin will really lay it all out there. An extended run through of their menu and wine list, a taste of house cocktails, live music and the debut of The Henry Austin HA.Bar (which is situated beneath the main dining room) awaits those who are lucky enough to reserve a ticket for the night. This is intended to be the ultimate road test, with Mason and Footner both on hand to lend a deeply personal touch to an evening that promises to launch the next chapter of Adelaide’s food history.

Only one hundred people will be able to dine at the table of Mr Henry Austin this Saturday, with tickets still available for $100. You just need to message The Henry Austin on their Facebook saying how many seats you require, as well as like and share their page before the week is out (you know, help them along). All those who request seats this weekend will also be entered into a prize draw to get the tickets you have bought at the dinner for free!

You shouldn’t need to be told twice…
