Wine lovers, The Homeless Grapes Project needs your help! Australia’s favourite online wine vendor Vinomofo is calling all wine enthusiasts, casual drinkers and sneaky tipplers to lend a hand and help out with the Homeless Grapes Project, Saturday, 14 April 2018 in the Coonawarra.
All proceeds from the sale of this wine will be donated to local Mount Gambier charity ac.care. And Vinomofo are inviting anyone to come along and be a winemaker for a morning; with grub, drinks, crushing, stomping and music at Hollick Estates after the picking is finished. EVERY CENT from the sale of this wine will go directly to those experiencing homelessness in the Limestone Coast.
The wine made will be a Coonawarra cabernet sauvignon, made by Coonawarra’s finest – Hollick Estates, Raidis Estate, Patrick of Coonawarra, Penley Estate, Redman Wines and Sam Brand, the cabernet sauvignon will be a unique representation of the very best the Coonawarra wine region has to offer.
“The beautiful thing about this project is the coming together of so many people; from the winemakers, the growers, mums, dads and their children, all picking and working together to solve this issue of homelessness,” said Andre Eikmeier, co-founder of Vinomofo.
The pick will begin at Raidis Estate at 9am, then onto Patrick of Coonawarra, finishing at Hollick Estates.
It will be an awesome day and of course, we’ll make sure the important things in life are covered – coffee and wine will be provided pre and post pick. Don’t miss out, register your interest here!
