Prepare your tastebuds for takeoff!
For the 9th year running, one of Adelaide’s premier gin emporiums is hosting a packed schedule of World Gin Day celebrations just in time for the long weekend.
Guests at The Howling Owl will have the opportunity to be whisked away on a global gin journey through curated flight tasting boards featuring the best gins from Europe, the Americas and Australia.
With the international travel ban scuppering plans for any jet-setting holiday-seekers, Flight Club IV offers the chance to experience a taste of Europe or The Americas through a selection of their finest gins, as well as a ‘staycation’ Australian gin flight featuring four home-grown gin heroes.
Once ‘on board’ the flight to their gin destination of choice, guests will receive a South Australian G&T, followed by a tasting board of four gin varieties, paired with seasonal garnishes and premium Fever Tree mixers. Howling Owl’s ‘flight captain’ (AKA their resident Gin specialist) will also be on hand to talk through the origins of each gin.
For those not lucky enough to make it on to the limited-space flights, the venue’s celebrations will start from 2pm, launching their Winter Cocktail menu alongside epic drinks deals, a locally-sourced grazing and pizza menu and an evening of music from local DJ’s Ruby Chew and Jenna Hawkins (Nightcall).
With more than 140 varieties of small batch gin on offer from distilleries across the world, The Howling Owl is a must-visit for any ginthusiasts celebrating World Gin Day on the 12th of June.
