You’ve all seen it before. You’ve all gawked as a whole wagon full of lively, chattering people wheeled by you while you were out for drinks in East East. You’ve all waved at the moving party-goers.
The HandleBar is Adelaide’s bike bar, pedal pub — you name it. It’s a wagon-looking ride fuelled by its passengers pedalling, which takes you on a two hour (or so) tour of of the Adelaide CBD.
Typically, the HandleBar makes its way around in the evenings, stopping off at various pubs and parks to rest and refuel, but they’ve added a brand new tour option.
A brunch tour!
It works almost the same way as the usual tours — only brunch is involved, which makes them ten times better, because brunch food improves any situation.
Start by booking yourself a seat on the HandleBar on the day of your choice, choose a drinks package (yes, it’s a boozy brunch tour!), and then choose your brunch option.
Brunch takes place at Arbour Kitchen and you can take your pick from four dishes:
- Farmer’s Market: Hahndort bacon, eggs, roasted field mushrooms, kale, roma tomatos, and smokey beans.
- Vegan Farmer’s Market: baked cauliflower, wild mushrooms, tomato, spicy beans, kale, braised purple cabbage, crispy potatoes, and sour dough.
- French Toast with wattleseed ice cream, poached pear, pistachio crumb, berries.
You can choose to have brunch and coffee ($20pp) or brunch and a bevvy ($23pp). And after all that peddling, you’re gonna need it.
