The inaugural Adelaide Whisky Show is returning this May for another incredible event dedicated to showcasing the best whisky from Australia and around the world.
Originally a Sydney-based event, the Whisky Show aims to showcase the best Whisky from all over the world and to present an opportunity for guests to sample over 70 different whiskies including world winners.
Held in partnership with the Australian Distillers Association, The Australian Whisky Show also works to highlight Australia’s vibrant history in producing whisky and several ups and downs in the last 100 years that have led to some of the best blends to be created.
Last year marked 30 years of modern distilling in Australia, and as the industry continues to mature, the choices available to consumers are better than ever with over 100 different Australian single malt whiskies available to purchase.
“The Whisky Show is such a great place to be, people come from all over Australia to learn, try and have fun, every year we welcome people from near and far and we’re always delighted to see how many people we affect each year,” said David Ligoff, founder of The Whisky Show.
While people have been known to travel all around Australia to catch this event in all different states, David said that SA is always a special location for this Whiskey Show. The incredible local and global that SA plays home to in the Whiskey market makes for an incredible lineup each year.
“While we love showcasing International bests-sellers, it’s always great to support local businesses and to host great whisky from the states we have our shows in,” he explained.

The Adelaide Whisky Show is a great time to brush up on your knowledge of Aussie whisky, with the local product becoming more mainstream and affordable, and the Australian nightlife scene finding its feet again too.
The Australian Whisky Show also gives consumers the opportunity to sample a huge variety of whiskies, including some hard-to-find or lesser-known brands.
Your ticket to this event will include access to tastings of over 60 different whiskies from all over the world including Scotland, USA, Australia and World Whiskies. Each session is 3 hours long, giving you plenty of time to browse each exhibitor, learn about each distillery and try their whiskies.
