The Killgirls Launch ‘Animal’ EP

Adelaide five-piece dance-rockers The Killgirls launch their Animal EP at the Queens Theatre this Saturday, October 22, supported by The Rules, Loot and Plunder, Bottle Rockets (DJ Set), AJ Sound, The Kings and General Admission.

Animal was produced, mixed and mastered entirely by lead vocalist Mario Spate, and recorded by the band  – Nick O’Connor on bass, Hamish Cox playing synths, Tony Irish on drums, Rusty Hutchinson on guitar – the EP is the sound of The Killgirls unleashed.  The first single, Astronaut is a bass driven dance floor anthem at the ready.

The launch adds to the impressive slew of live shows the band have played; the ecstatic mayhem of the 2010 Fringe Opening Party in front of 40,000 people, the Boiler Room at Big Day Out 2011; Parklife 2011 and The Clipsal 500 2011, among many other impressive shows.  Sharing stages with Crystal Castles, MSTRKRFT, Die Antwoord, Bloody Beetroots, Art VS Science and Oh Mercy!, The Killgirls will be supporting Dead Letter Circus on the No Fracking Way Tour in November, and this, as they say, is 'just the beginning'.
