The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) hosted “The Green Transfer” with the purpose of motivating people to visit South Australia’s National Parks.
Competing against two other local Adelaide agencies, the pitch presented a number of tv and radio ads challenging the concept of social media and encouraging people to “Get Real!”
The Hotel Grand Chancellor hosted an audience of more than 300 who elected a winner based on crowd applause in conjunction with an expert panel of marketers expressing their views.
Creative Director Josh Welbourn and two University of Adelaide students explained their desire to target the youth market who have been encompassed in an all-consuming technological world with a clear need to get back to nature.
“It would be great to think we may have the opportunity to encourage more people to turn off technology and rediscover their local parks,” said Welbourn.
The Prizes awarded to all teams and panelists included local beer and Haigh’s chocolates and the chance to win the DENR account.
