Hear ye! Hear ye! The very first Medieval Fair is coming to the Limestone Coast!

If you’re fascinated by the Middle Ages and European history, this medieval fantasy festival in Mount Gambier is right up your ally. Experience what life was like in AD 500 – 1500 with a display of traditional crafts such as blacksmithing and weaving as well as medieva sports such as archery.

Spanning across two days, the Fair will feature historical reenactments that will take you through the period both in a humorous and serious way with action-packed combat scenarios featuring skilled fighters to make history come alive. The most exciting of which being the knights dual – a full-scale battle of knights in combat that is sure to impress.

And if there’s anything more exciting than a middle-aged battle, it’s a middle-aged feast. Break bread with your fellow medieval enthusiasts and enjoy a hearty feast fit for a king.

Of course, costumes are highly encouraged with competitions and awards on offer for the best dressed. Market stalls and activities will span across the weekend and if you’re needing refreshments from all the excitement, there will be mead and ales ready for consumption to replenish you so you can get back into the action.
