Christmas is a magical time, full of enchantment, celebration and family.
The Loxton Lights Festival is one of South Australia’s much loved Christmas events, featuring Light Up Day, the flagship event of the festival.
Now in its 30th year, the Loxton Lights Festival will once again showcase the joyous festive season for locals and visitors alike.
This year the festival runs from Saturday 27th November – 31st December.
Lights Up Day kicks off this family festival and is a day full of food, friends and fun. The day has live performances, arts & craft stalls, fashion parades and amusement rides suitable for all ages.
An enormous Christmas tree dazzles in the heart of town and from there, large clusters of residential streets feature homes adorned with over 400 illuminated Christmas scenes, paintings and coloured light displays.
The city of Loxton comes alive during the magical Christmas event with most residents donning their homes with dazzling light displays and gorgeous Christmas figurines, demonstrating true love for the festive season and uniting of family and friends.
The Riverlands premier shopping strip – East Terrace will welcome shoppers in supporting independent, family-run small businesses giving you a unique Christmas shopping experience.
Loxton is situated in the Riverland of South Australia. A 2½ hour drive east of Adelaide, Loxton is a popular destination for sheer relaxation, indulgences in food and wine, aquatic and outdoor activities and of course the fabulous Christmas Festival.
Due to social distancing requirements, tickets are essential for the opening night firework spectacular.
