The Magnets are a sonic sensation hailing from the UK, and are not to be missed.

This marvellous vocal sextet do their own arrangements of cover songs, ranging from Fat Boy Slim to Blondie, and use their voices for instruments, not least of all utilizing the extraordinary talents of percussionist/beatboxer Andy Frost, and the deep bass sound of Fraser Collins. Their sound has a fullness and vibrancy far beyond any traditional a cappella.

The remaining performers, Mikey, Callum, Steve and founder Nic, do their fair share of backing tracks, too, but more than the individual performances, this man-band shines as a vocal ensemble, complete with a signature look, choreographed dance moves and great patter with the audience.

The repertoire includes hits like Call Me, Weapon of Choice, All Shook Up, Living on a Prayer and Queen's Take Me To the Dreamer's Ball. The biggest hit, by far however, is their A-Z medley of film songs, although the audience is given the choice between a film or band medley.

Frost's lengthy solo is nothing short of magnificent, presenting a beatbox medley filled with humour.

It truly does leave you gobsmacked.
