The Marion Hotel Celebrates New Look Following $20 Million Transformation

The transformation saw a complete redesign to the venue’s outdoor Garden area, the hotel’s expansive dining and entertainment area.

The Marion Hotel has recently undergone a huge visual transformation, following a $20 million dollar redevelopment plan that has seen a complete redesign of several function spaces.

The hotel’s extensive refurbishment was completed earlier this year in September, and has given the venue a new lease on life for their future.

The transformation saw a complete redesign to the venue’s outdoor Garden area, the hotel’s expansive dining and entertainment area.

In addition to this, to celebrate the hotel’s brand new look, the venue is hosting a free event on October 14, where locals can enjoy their own first-hand experience of the transformation.

The all-ages, family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, delicious street food, and South Australian drinks specials, all to celebrate the redevelopment’s completion.

Hurley Hotel Group General Manager Sam McInnes says it’s very important to celebrate the hotel’s transformation with their community.

“The Hotel has strong ties to the local community so it’s very important for us to extend the celebrations,” Sam says.

“The evening will showcase the significant upgrades to The Garden area and will give a peek into what the community can expect from the new space and our exciting program of events.”

The event will be completely free of charge. It will also feature an exciting line up of local South Australian musical talents, including The Montreals, Heaps Good Friends, Stellie, and new act Velvet Void.

“The opening has been a long time in the works,” Sam says.

“It is the first refurbishment in 20 years for the Hotel and we want to celebrate with an event to remember!”

The Marion Hotel is located at 849 Marion Road, Mitchell Park.
