I’ve travelled a lot. I pretty much grew up on planes. Dad was in the Air Force and we were constantly being posted around the world, so I’ve been around plenty of airports too – but when one of my Adelaide girlfriends posted a photo she’d taken at LAX today, I was completely gobsmacked.
I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve never seen anything like this in a departure lounge, or if it’s because security is so tight at airports with nothing out of the ordinary tolerated – but either way, it’s absolutely the most bizarre thing I’ve seen. And the fact that it’s at Gate #33 in one of the world’s busiest airports – it leaves us with (almost) no words.
Forget using your carry on luggage as a foot rest, this guy clearly thought ahead, scoped out the departure lounge previously, and figured, it was the perfect place to hang a hammock.
We’re not even kidding.
So forget buying that inflatable neck pillow. There’s a more comfortable way to travel, and this guy has it nailed.
Hats off to you stranger. You’ve made our day.
