This Christmas, the Myer Centre in Rundle Mall is the ultimate festive destination! The Centre already looks festive and bright, with its colourful, sparkling decorations, but it will truly come alive with magic from December 3rd. With different festive experiences, like free kids’ creative workshops, fun activities, a trip on the Santaland Express Train and the very special opportunity to meet Santa himself, it’s the place to be this season! Here’s a sneak peek at all the Christmas magic in store the Myer Centre…
Candy Cane Lane
Level 2 of the Myer Centre is where the magic truly comes to life, with Candy Cane Lane offering a range of free kids’ Christmas workshops. While you’re there, you can send your Christmas wish list straight to Santa via the Express Post Box, located within the festive zone. This holiday-themed area has a range of fun and creative experiences for the whole family, including:
- Christmas stocking colouring
- Decorate your own Christmas house
- Personalised bauble making
- Festive plaster painting
- Holiday suncatcher painting
- Christmas babushka nesting dolls
- Colour in Santa sack
- Colour in Santa stocking
Plus, the Adelaide City Library will be hosting special Story Time sessions to keep kids entertained with Christmas tales!
Sessions at Candy Cane Lane are limited, so be sure to book your tickets in advance. Walk-in spots are also available, but spaces are limited per session.

Santaland
No Christmas experience is complete without meeting the big man himself. At Santaland, located on Level 2, kids can embark on a magical journey aboard the Santaland Express train which will take them on a trip to the North Pole, where they’ll meet Santa! Here, families can capture the perfect photo that you’ll cherish forever.
The Centre also offers Sensory Santa, Santa Paws (for pets!), and Baby’s First Christmas sessions at select stores, so that everyone – from the littlest to the furriest family members – can join in the fun.

Ronald McDonald House Gift Wrapping Station
Not everyone is an expert at wrapping Christmas presents, and that’s okay! But if you really want to make your presents look extra festive and pretty, head to the Ronald McDonald House Gift Wrapping Station located on the ground floor of the Myer Centre. For a small donation, you can have your Christmas presents beautifully wrapped while supporting a great cause. It’s the perfect way to give back this holiday season while getting ready for the celebrations!
