Cat lovers, do we have the event for you! This May, social media sensation Steven Meserve is bringing his Loving Cats Worldwide (LCWW) CATstravaganza to Adelaide as part of the Oz Feline Fair at the Adelaide Showgrounds.
This event marks the first ever Oz Feline Fair and CATstravaganza event, and it’s the ultimate convention for everything cat. Held on Saturday, May 17th and Sunday, May 18th, the Oz Feline Fair will showcase cats of all breeds, from fancy competition felines to adorable rescue kittens.
Attendees can check out the artisan marketplace at Purr-Creations Alley and explore a heap of stores in Vendor Village. There will be a huge variety of exclusive, artisan stalls offering everything a cat and its owner could possibly need, like treats, toys, and cat-themed clothes.
Plus, Two Cats Distillery, a small-batch craft distillery based in Athelstone, will have a stall on-site for tastings and bottle sales.
There will also be a cat cosplay competition, offering cat lovers the purr-fect opportunity to showcase their feline-inspired costumes.
One of the highlights of the Oz Feline Fair & CATstravaganza will be the Very Important Cat (VIC) and Very Important Kitten (VIK) competitions on the Catwalk, which will be personally judged by Steven Meserve.
Steven will also invite a number of rescue groups to speak on the Catwalk, offering information about the kittens and cats they have available for adoption at their rescue sites, while also touching on some useful ways to support your local rescue organisation.
Boasting hundreds of thousands of followers across multiple social media platforms, Steven Meserve is a beloved, internationally recognised cat judge known for their enthusiastic, personalised video reviews of feline friends.
Steven is the founder and CEO of Loving Cats Worldwide, an organisation dedicated to increasing the visibility of cats, educating people about the overwhelming rescue situation, preserving breeds and protecting ethical breeders. The organisation also organises exciting and interactive Cat Extravaganza events all around the world. This is Steven’s first time bringing one of his popular cat conventions to Adelaide.
And just a note for cat owners: for the safety and wellbeing of the show cats, rescue cats and other visitors, you unfortunately can’t bring your own cat along to the CATstravaganza. That is, unless you’re entering your cat in any of the competitions, like the All Breed Classes or the Specialty Classes. Cat show entries are $80 per cat.
