CIBO Espresso is embracing Italian tradition and sharing love and peace again with its traditional hand-made Easter cake the ‘Colomba’.
The CIBO Espresso Colomba is available for $20 and gift-boxed at all CIBO Espresso stores until Tuesday 10 April. The Milanese created the Colomba (“dove”) to mark the celebration of their freedom and peace.
The dove-cake remains to be a symbol of peace and while you’ve got to use your imagination a little to see the dove shape in this dessert, people all over Italy and the world will be serving this sweet bread cake at Easter.
“The gesture of giving a Colomba at Easter is a sign of peace,” says CIBO Espresso Pasticceria Director and renowned pastry chef, Claudio Ferraro.
“It is best shared with family and friends, traditionally broken apart by hand and served with moscato or caffe.”
