Put on your dancing shoes Adelaide! A disco is making its way to town next year, oozing with glitz, glamour and plenty of glitter.
Introducing The Pińa Colada Room: a dazzling party paying homage to the icons of disco. Inspired by the legends of the golden age of disco and the tunes that moved an entire generation.
Dance the night away and groove underneath the decadent mirror-ball, impressing the legends of the disco era with your funky moves. With an ever-revolving lineup of DJ’s, cabaret stars and mischief-makers – no two evenings will be the same.
Running between June 10 and 25, the iconic venue of The Famous Spiegeltent will transform into a wicked boogie wonderland. The dazzling tent, lined with brightly coloured stripes, glittery mirrors and a stunning ornate chandelier dangling in the centre, is the perfect place to get your freak on and groove to tunes from the disco gods.
Peel back the velvet curtain and lose yourself and your inhibitions at the Piña Colada Room, with the disco fever kicking off at 10:30pm and grooving on ‘til late. Entry to the party costs $39 and is a strictly 18+ event.
The Pińa Colada Room is running in conjunction with the 2022 Adelaide Cabaret Festival. While only four programmes have been released for next year’s, the festival is shaping up to be bigger, better and brighter than ever before.
The incomparable and iconic Tina Arena is taking the helm of the Cabaret Festival this year, taking a spin on the glittery winter festival and headlining her own heartfelt show.
Audiences will get a double act of cabaret next year when Adelaide Cabaret Festival welcomes back the popular Variety Gala but not as you know it – with a one-off balmy March celebration to announce the full program.
Adelaide Cabaret Festival Artistic Director Tina Arena says she is elated to announce the early line-up for her inaugural program.
“I cannot wait to return to Adelaide and lead you astray into a decadent world of magic, glamour and unadulterated revelry,” said the star.
“From intimate evenings with some of the world’s best performers to wild nights under disco lights – next year’s program will be bursting with provocation and pizazz. Can’t wait to see you there!”
The Pina Colada Room is running between June 10 and June 25, kicking off 10:30pm and dancing until late. You can buy your tickets here (currently only available when purchasing tickets for another performance).
Single tickets to The Piña Colada Room will go on sale in 2022.
