Fasten your seatbelts, folks, because this may just be the most exciting thing you hear this week…World-famous psychic, Allison DuBois, is coming to the Land Down Under, and we were lucky enough to score a personal interview with her.
Allison, a psychic medium with a bone-chilling gift, considers herself a “Secretary to the Dead”. Who wouldn’t be interested in an event where someone can communicate with lost loved ones and pass on mystical messages? Allison, who hails from Arizona, USA, has written several books about her gift and even inspired the hit NBC TV show, Medium. Now, she’s coming to Australia.
For Allison, communicating with the dead is second nature. It’s something she’s been able to do since childhood.
“In my first book, Don’t Kiss Them Goodbye, I write about being six years old and attending my great-grandfather’s funeral,” says Allison. “That was my first memory of communicating with the dead. Abilities often run in families.”
So, how exactly does this gift work? And, just how accurate was the show Medium?
“I hear the dead, I see the dead, I sense them in every possible way,” Allison tells Glam Adelaide, and goes on to explain that unlike her character in Medium, she receives her messages while she is awake, not asleep.
In her Australian trip in May-June 2026, Allison will be available in Adelaide for one day only, conducting two live sessions from the Adelaide Convention Centre. Audiences can expect freakishly accurate live readings, where she will answer questions about life’s challenges, including romantic entanglements and career changes. On a more serious note, Allison will take on Australian cold cases, impart the psychic insights she receives from beyond the grave, and also attempt to connect audience members with departed loved ones.
The tour will begin in Sydney before heading to Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, and will conclude in Perth. She will host two events in each city, including an afternoon session focused on audience readings, as well as a separate event examining an Australian cold case, where she will guide attendees through the details of the case and share her impressions.
Surely, living with this kind of ‘gift’ would be a truly terrifying burden to carry, right?
“Nothing scares me from the Other Side,” Allison insists. “The LIVING, they scare the hell out of me!”
