Melbourne-based dub-reggae band The Red Eyes are returning to Adelaide for a live performance at Jive, this Saturday 2 October.
Their last visit in July this year for their new album Red Army, also at Jive, was the first South Australian show in 4 years and left fans reeling for more. Their unique sound combines masterfully produced beats, soulful and heartfelt lyrics, and grooves with shake the house dub rhythms that have set the benchmark for Australian Dub/Reggae.
The band has been nominated for Best Independent Blues and Roots Album at the 2010 Jagermeister Independent Music Awards.
With a core-group of 7 multi-instrumentalist musical talents, their performances can include up to 12 people on stage, and their recordings include over 30 of Australia’s most talented musicians. They are building a steady rising profile, and are most known for their larger-than-life, pumped, energetic, live festival performances and successful Australian East-Coast tours.
