The SA Restaurants Amongst The Top 100 In The Country!

See which South Australian restaurants made the list of the top 100 in Australia…

It’s no secret that we South Australians love our food. You just have to look at the rise in the number of next level eateries popping up all over our fine state to see that… With world class chefs seeing the potential in South Australia, they are flocking from all over to set up kitchen and do their thing! So basically Adelaide and SA have most certainly been cemented amongst the best food and dining destinations in the world. And now some of our finer establishments have been recognised as being amongst the top 100 in the country!

The Australian Financial Review has brought back its Australia’s Top Restaurants Awards presented by Qantas and has released the names of the top 100 restaurants in the country.

So who are the South Australians that made the list..?

The first SA name to make the cut at number 47 is Africola. With South African born Duncan Welgemoed at the helm of this kitchen, it comes as no surprise that this place features amongst the best in the country! The eclectic feel of this restaurants runs all the way from the decor through to the food served.

Next up is Orana who came in at number 48. A Scottish chef with a French fine-dining background using native ingredients to create authentic Australian cuisine… Yes, that is rockstar Owner Jock Zonfrillo in a nutshell. And the amazing food that he and his team create at his Rundle Street digs keep them at the top of most ‘Best Restaurant’ lists.

Peel St is a fave of the Glam team and most Adelaideans! With its food philosophy focussing on sharing and just being so darn delicious, it is no surprise that the Owners of this bad boy have opened a bevy of other successful venues in and around Adelaide’s CBD and ‘burbs. It came in on the list at number 95.

Right behind Peel St is the divine Hentley Farm. At number 96, this destination venue is set in beautiful old stables in Seppeltsfield has been kicking goals for years.

They may have recently closed Fino Willunga but David Swain and Sharon Romeo have kept the Fino name alive, seeing the stunning restaurant set in Seppeltsfield making it to number 98 on this coveted list.
