A Loxton resident or visitor might unknowingly have become a millionaire after winning over $1.3 million in the recent Saturday X Lotto. The winner, still unidentified, was one of four national division one winners in the draw held on December 28th 2024.
Located at Loxton Newsagency on 12 East Terrace, the winning ticket clinched a hefty $1,352,707.86. However, since the ticket has not been registered to a player card or online account through The Lott Members Club, the winner has yet to receive the life-altering news.
According to The Lott spokesperson Eliza Wregg, the winner remains unaware of their significant fortune. She urged anyone who purchased their ticket at Loxton Newsagency to promptly check their tickets.
“Our mystery winner is likely oblivious to the fact they’ve scored a million-dollar prize in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto!” she said.
“We’re encouraging anyone who purchased a Saturday X Lotto ticket from Loxton Newsagency to check their ticket today!
“Just imagine how exhilarating it would be to discover you were a newly minted millionaire ahead of the New Year! Your plans for 2025 would surely change in a heartbeat.
The winning numbers for the draw were 26, 41, 4, 12, 29, and 40 with supplementary numbers 34 and 31. Across Australia, the draw resulted in four division one winners, with other tickets sold in New South Wales and Victoria, besides the lucky winner from South Australia.
Loxton Newsagency’s owner, Lesley Golding, expressed her excitement about the win.
“It’s very exciting to hear our tight-knit Loxton community has had a division one win,” she said.
“As the entry is not registered it could be someone local or someone visiting the area, either way, we’re so happy for them.
“Since owning the business, we’ve had many sizeable wins across a variety of games, including Keno and Instant Scratch-Its. It felt like we were due for another big win!
“This is something we hope for every time we sell a lottery ticket to someone. It’s fantastic when it happens; you really just need to be in it to have that chance to win.

Saturday X Lotto has been quite rewarding in the past year, with 158 millionaires made across the country in FY24 through the game. The winnings, including 292 division one entries, amounted to more than $436 million. This financial year, The Lott’s division one winning tally includes 232 national winners, with 21 from SA Lotteries.
As the search continues, both officials from The Lott and the local community eagerly anticipate identifying and congratulating the new millionaire among them.
