The second Street Art exhibition is coming to the Austral Hotel

Kick Back Saturdays presents the second art exhibition “Union” at the Bunka

Following the success of their first exhibition “Halfcut “, GTNBZY Apparel in conjunction with the Austral Hotel will be holding the group exhibition “Union” in the Bunka this Saturday 09.07.11, from 6pm till 8pm. “Union” offers a select group of seven Adelaide artists representing the multitude of differing styles in the world of Street Art.

“The feedback we got from the last exhibition “Halfcut” was amazing! It was good to see people coming out to support the local art scene while sitting back with a free glass of wine.” explains Alex Gilchrist, Co-founder of GTNBZY Apparel and the solo artist featured in the first exhibition “Halfcut”.

Tying in the exhibition with the ongoing event Kickback Saturdays the Austral Hotel gives local artists a chance to show their work to art lovers. Every second Saturday beginning at 6 pm the Bunka turns into a place of great relaxation, good food and free entry all night. With a great number of DJs rotating every week at 8 pm and a local art exhibition at the beginning of each month, the Austral Hotel kicked of the first exhibition “Halfcut” a month ago with over 50 visitors.

The featuring artists of the second exhibition night will be: BASIC, TARNS, NISH, ORBZ, SAM EVANS, SAEM AND TOM MILLARD which were brought together by GTNBZY Apparel and Adelaide’s retailer for street wear Cold Crush. Displaying a mixed media street art inspired work the seven artists will be representing the multitude of differing styles.

With the new sponsor McLaren Vale Beer Company the guests can now even choose between a refreshing local beer or a free glass of wine from Mayhem & Co. Winery. For a perfect snack will the Bunka provide the guests with a great Tapas menu and offers them an opportunity to see and enjoy the work of some Adelaide’s artists.

The exhibition will be available for the public to view throughout the week as well as being a key feature of the Kick Back Saturdays relaxed atmosphere. “Union” will be curated by GTNBZY Apparel (Getting Busy), an Adelaide based street wear brand, who will be using the nights to find new talented artists to work with them on their next design range of Apparel.
