From this Saturday, hundreds of people from all over Australia will begin a five-day driving adventure all in the name of raising money for Cancer Council – with absolutely NO idea we’re they’re heading.
The mad baby brother of the Shitbox Rally, Mystery Box is smaller and shorter but no less ridiculous.
The event will see 150 teams of two convoy cars that are more than 25 years old, with each day’s course only released at the start of every morning.
The route is literally a complete mystery to all participants in order to challenge the drivers and demonstrate the journey that every cancer patient takes – a journey into the unknown.
Armed with a full tank of petrol and crazy outfits, seven teams from South Australia will be joining the fundraiser.
The teams will all set off at 9am on Saturday from Mildura, returning on October 24 and going who-knows-where in between.
This year, they’re aiming to raise $850,000 for Cancel Council. For more info, see mystery-box.com.au.
