The ST. ALi Italian Film Festival is Back!

The long-awaited Italian Film Festival is finally back for 2020, thanks to partner-sponsor ST. ALi, and Palace Nova Cinemas.

Postponed due to COVID restrictions, the 2020 ST. ALi Italian Film Festival is due to finally open on September 29th.

Opening night reception includes a glass of prosecco and a festival gift bag, along with a screening of Matteo Garrone’s highly anticipated live action adaptation of Pinocchio. Click here to book tickets.

This year’s centrepiece screening will be Marco Bellocchio’s The Traitor, which tells the true story of gangster-turned-informant, Tommaso Buscetta, the man who brought down the Cosa Nostra.

Festival favourite Stefano Accorsi stars in Ferzan Ozpetek’s The Goddess of Fortune, which tells the story of two men, a woman, and two children, caught up in love, family, illness and loss. A special screening on October 4th sees this feature teamed with the short Being My Mum, Jasmine Trinca’s directorial debut. Click here to book tickets.

Other great films featured this year include: romantic comedy 7 Hours to Win Your Heart; psychological drama Feel Your Memories; hilarious Biblical comedy Once Upon a Time…In Bethlehem; and legal drama, Ordinary Justice.

Closing night celebrates the 20th anniversary of acclaimed director Giuseppe Tornatore’s Malena, with a special screening, Campari cocktails, and Connoisseur Gourmet Ice Creams. Click here to book tickets.
