The Stirling Spring Expressions Festival Masquerade Ball

This October, the tranquil community space of the Stirling Coventry Library will be transformed into place of celebration and creativity for the Stirling Spring Expressions Festival Masquerade Ball.

The Masquerade Ball, to be held on October 21st, will feature some of the best wines from the Adelaide Hills Wine Region and local food by The Table restaurant.

Festival Director, Marcus Battye said that revellers would dance the night away amongst the books to the smooth sounds of singer Jennifer DeGrassi, backed by the Accusdix.

“Local boutiques and designers will feature their best in a ‘Bedroom to Ballroom’ fashion parade, and I think that guests will be a little shocked and inspired.

“ABC local radio’s Peter Goers will be a special guest at the Ball and will broadcast his 891 Evening’s Show direct from the library;” Marcus said.

Dee O’Loughlin, Manager, Library and Customer Services for the Adelaide Hills Council said that this would be a fun and unique event for the Stirling Coventry Library.

“I can’t think of a better way to use this beautifully designed space, it demonstrates that a Library can be more than simply a place to borrow books or access the internet; it can be a strong community hub for many occasions.

“We have a very active Friends group here and events like these wouldn’t be possible without their passion for the library;” Dee said.

Tickets include all food and wine and are just $90 per person or $80 when you buy 10 or more – don’t forget your mask or fascinator.

The Stirling Spring Expressions Festival, an initiative of the Stirling Business Association, includes other major events including a free Market Day on Saturday October 22 featuring art stalls, workshops, wine and food, free family fun, music and more. This sensational day will conclude with an Outdoor Twilight Cinema screening of Mamma Mia – The Movie.
