As a Professional Organiser and lover of all things interiors, I’m always on the lookout for stylish, well designed storage products. I have found storage perfection in the Uashmama range (pronounced wash mama)! It literally ticks every single box.
Unless you have been living under a rock somewhere, you will have seen these products popping up in all the current interiors magazines and our local homewares stores around Adelaide. Be warned, once you buy your first Uashmama it certainly won’t be your last – it will become an addiction.
Uashmama products are made from washable paper but actually have a gorgeous leather like feel. Created in Italy by four super clever sisters who just wanted to create a durable bread basket that moulded to fit any shape, this brand has taken off around the world.
With the original Uashmama now available in various sizes and colours, the range has grown to include everything from aprons to laundry hampers.
This is great news for storage obsessives like myself. It basically means that storage can look good in every room of the house, no excuses!
Uashmama baskets/products are used in a whole range of clever ways throughout the home, think to store the fresh herbs on a kitchen bench, the garlic in the pantry, the dirty clothes in the laundry, the products on the side of the bath in the bathroom, the kids’ toys in a bedroom, the stationery in the office AND even outdoors for parties and picnics. Oh my gosh, their never ending use in everything storage actually blows my mind!
Now with spring on its way (thank god), you can get creative and trendy with storage. Heck, who even needs something to store as an excuse to get a few of these babies? I love them with a little plant popped in there and used as decoration. Brings some life to any room of your home.
