The Strathmore Hotel has undergone some pretty major refurbishments.
An upgrade to the former space has seen the hotel welcome a brand new bar, indoor and outdoor dining areas, function spaces and menus.
The Verandah Bar is Adelaide’s newest open-air bar, and is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail while soaking up all the atmosphere of North Terrace.
As far as food goes, Verandah Dining’s retractable roof means you can enjoy the best of Adelaide’s weather all year round.
The innovative Verandah Dining menu showcases the best of local produce, championing the theme, ‘what goes together grows together.’
Indulge in menu items such as the Gawler River chargrilled quail with poached apple, goats cheese, rocket and pinenuts.
There’s even a twist on an old classic, with a Thornby premium lamb croquette pie floater with green pea puree, asparagus and peppered puff pastry.
Save room for dessert, as Verandah Dining has a coconut panna cotta, served with an almond crumb, ginger honeycomb and rhubarb.
Or, try the delicious sounding mocha mud cake with iced coffee ice-cream, peanut butter tuille, mocha crumb and white chocolate.
Verandah Dining’s tempting menu is accompanied by an impressive range of local wines and premium cocktails.
Try the Settler’s Breeze, a mix of settlers vodka & goji, lemon juice, KI raw honey, coconut water, and raw honeycomb.
Or, sip on an indulgent Adelaide Hills Spiced Caramel cocktail, with Settler’s spiced rum, white creme de cacao, red cacao salted caramel sauce, and buttered popcorn.
On the ground floor of the Strathmore lies Cafe One Two Nine, open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
Verandah Private is the Strathmore’s private room, adjacent to the Verandah Bar and Dining.
The room is the perfect location for your next conference, working lunch, or special occasion.
Hot tip, the Verandah Bar has an exclusive happy hour every Tuesday to Thursday from 6pm ’til 7pm, and Friday from 7pm ’til 8pm.
