Australia’s renowned tenor ensemble, The TEN Tenors, is set to mark their 30th anniversary with a grand Australian tour starting in April 2025. The ensemble, beloved for its vibrant and energetic performances, will celebrate three decades of incredible music since their debut in Brisbane in 1995. The tour promises a journey through every state with 38 shows over two months, coming to SA on Saturday the 24th go May 2025 at Her Majesty’s Theatre, showcasing the ensemble’s remarkable longevity and evolution in the music industry.
Tickets for the much-anticipated tour will be available for presale from Thursday, 12 September, with a general sale following on Thursday, 19 September. Fans and newcomers alike are encouraged to visit the group’s website for ticket details and further information on the tour itinerary.
From a spontaneous, one-off performance at a corporate event to becoming a global touring sensation, The TEN Tenors have performed at some of the world’s most prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall in London, The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and the Sydney Opera House. With a touring history that spans 37 countries and includes more than 3,500 performances, the group has solidified its reputation as a powerhouse of vocal talent and theatrical flair.
The TEN Tenors continue to captivate audiences with their unique blend of classical music and contemporary pop, making them a standout act in the music scene. The current lineup features a mix of classical and contemporary voices, including well-known opera singers from Australia and New Zealand such as Boyd Owen, Daniel Belle, Ammon Bennett, and Cameron Barclay. The ensemble is also complemented by talented singers from the realms of contemporary music and musical theatre including Michael Edwards, Adrian Li Donni, JD Smith, and Sam Ward.
According to the group’s producer and manager, D-J Wendt, joining The TEN Tenors is like joining a close-knit brotherhood, with past members cherishing their time as part of this dynamic ensemble. Classical tenor Boyd Owen likened the experience to “the best parts of a strong family bond, a football team, and a secret club, all rolled into one.”
The upcoming tour will feature some of the group’s most iconic performances, including crowd favourites such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Hallelujah, and Nessun Dorma. Additionally, audiences can look forward to new and innovative renditions of classical pop and rock staples, all brought to life with thrilling choreography and the ensemble’s trademark humour and charisma. Fans can also expect medleys of hits from legends like Michael Jackson, the Bee Gees, and various ‘diva’ classics, which have been highlights in past performances.
Prior to their Australian tour, The TEN Tenors will grace stages across Europe, with the tour commencing in Germany. This international stint is set to further showcase their exceptional talent before returning to Australian shores.
