The Teskey Brothers to headline ‘Day on the Green’ Tour with Band of Horses

Australia’s soul-rock favorites, The Teskey Brothers, are back to dazzle fans with a ‘Day on the Green’ tour featuring Band of Horses and more.

The Teskey Brothers are set to headline their very first ‘Day on the Green’ tour across Australia in January 2025. This exciting series of outdoor shows will feature an impressive lineup of international and Australian artists, including Band of Horses, Sierra Ferrell, CMAT, and Charlie Needs Braces.

Originating from Warrandyte, Victoria, The Teskey Brothers have earned acclaim for their signature blend of soul and blues, reminiscent of Motown but with a twist uniquely their own. The group, known for their raw vocal and instrumental prowess, recently celebrated winning the prestigious Songwriter of the Year award at the APRA Music Awards.

The upcoming tour marks a significant return to their home country following a year of international tours, where they graced stages across the US, UK, Europe, and various major festivals. Their last album, ‘The Winding Way,’ enjoyed critical and commercial success, debuting at number one on the ARIA charts and snagging multiple awards.

For this tour, the Teskey Brothers are thrilled to bring together a diverse and dynamic set of musicians. Josh Teskey shared, “After many months on tour overseas we are excited to be bringing the show home for this very special A Day On The Green run in January. To make it a full day’s affair, it’s a huge thrill to be bringing together some of our favourite acts from around the world.”

Strengthening the lineup is Band of Horses, marking their first Australian performance since 2016. Known for their emotive indie rock, the American band has achieved considerable success both in Australia and internationally. Guests will also be treated to the enchanting vocals and genre-blending charm of Sierra Ferrell, who has rapidly become a sought-after talent in country and roots music.

Adding a fresh touch to the roster is Irish artist CMAT, real name Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, whose debut album won her the Choice Music Award for Irish Album of the Year. Her clever blend of indie-pop and country has earned her recognition and a growing global fanbase.

Completing the main acts, Melbourne-based Charlie Needs Braces, also known as Charlie Woods, will showcase her unique musical style that combines live looping with traditional songwriting. A proud Guringai woman, Charlie was recently recognized with the Archie Roach Foundation Award for Emerging Talent through Music Victoria.

The ‘Day on the Green’ tour is scheduled to kick off in Perth at Burswood Park on January 8, followed by performances in some of the country’s most stunning wineries, including a sole show in South Australia at Peter Lehmann Wines, Barossa Valley on January 10. Subsequent shows are scheduled at Mt Duneed Estate in Geelong, Centennial Vineyards in Bowral, and others, concluding in Queensland at Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton.

Tickets for the performances go on sale on June 27, with presale options available from June 24. Fans are encouraged to be quick, as the presale tickets are expected to sell rapidly.
