Adelaide Cabaret Fringe Festival | May 23rd – June 1st

The Cabaret Fringe Festival, aka CabFringe, is home to the bold, bizarre, and brilliant. For over two decades, the Cabaret Fringe Festival has offered a platform for emerging artists, experimental performance, and voices too real for the main stage. Wheelchair Rugby World Championships | May 29th – June 1st

Australia’s wheelchair rugby team, the Steelers, will play on home soil for the first time since 2018 when the 2025 Santos Wheelchair Rugby World Challenge lands in Adelaide later this month.

Taking place between May 29th to June 1st at Netball SA Stadium, the international event will be the largest wheelchair rugby competition in the world in 2025. The tournament will bring together top-ranked national teams from Canada, Brazil, Germany, New Zealand and the Netherlands, with Korea’s Chungnam Province also competing in the National Championship.

Bastille Festival | May 30th – June 1st

Kicking off the month on June 1st is the new Bastille Festival. Across the last weekend of May and into June, Festival Plaza will be transformed into a petit Paris. The Bastille Festival Adelaide will be the perfect way to ring in winter, complete with mouth-watering food stalls, pop-up wine bars, artisan markets, art installations and a lively lineup of entertainment, all with that unmistakable French style.

Oz Comic-Con | May 31st to June 1st

Winter Whale Festival | June 1st – 30th

Victor Harbor’s coastal winds may blow cold as winter hits in June, but they bring with them something truly magical, the return of the Southern Right Whales and the much-loved Winter Whale Fest.

Running from June 1st to 30th, this month-long celebration transforms Victor into a hub of oceanic wonder, local storytelling and community spirit to mark the yearly migration of whales to the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Cabaret Festival | June 5th – 21st

From June 5th until the 21st, Adelaide’s most glamorous winter festival returns. This year, the Adelaide Cabaret Festival is celebrating its 25th year, with a theme of ‘Bling it On,’ encouraging guests to dress in whatever makes them sparkle. The Cabaret Festival is known for bringing a curated line-up featuring the crème de la crème of talent. From brilliant theatrical performances to side-splitting comedy, mind-blowing music and some incredibly sexy circus acts, there is something for everyone.

Coastal Sounds Festival

This June long weekend, the much-loved Coastal Sounds festival is returning to Adelaide’s coastline, bringing with it a free celebration of live music, art, and dance.

From humble beginnings in Henley Beach, this year the winter festival will be bigger than ever. On Monday, June 9th, a 13-kilometre strip of coast along Adelaide’s stunning western beaches will be transformed for the event. From West Beach and Henley Beach to Grange, Semaphore Park, and Semaphore, the whole coast will come alive with activations and events.

Adelaide Gin Festival | June 20th – 22nd

From June 20th to 22nd, the Adelaide Gin Festival returns to the heart of the city. Over the weekend, North Terrace will be transformed into a spot to grab world-class G&Ts from your favourite distillers and discover new boutique brands. You’ll have the chance to try some new gins and get involved in Adelaide’s thriving gin culture.

The Souk | June 21st

The Souk is an undercover market bursting with flavour, colour and culture. Inspired by the bustling Souks of the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, this is more than a market, it’s a sensory journey. Browse a unique mix of street food, spice blends, oils, flowers, artisanal creations and handmade treasures.

You’ll find this beside the stunning Central Rainforest in Tonsley’s Innovation District, there’s plenty of parking, seating, and space for the whole family to enjoy. Expect music, roving performers, and a Middle Eastern-inspired selfie station to capture the memories!

Treasures of the Viking Age | Until July 27th

Treasures of the Viking Age’s first stop in its global tour is currently at South Australia Museum until July 27th. This world exclusive is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to check out some fascinating treasures from around AD 900.

On display is the Galloway Hoard, which includes the most remarkable collection of Viking-age treasures ever unearthed in Britain or Ireland. Like most Viking-age hoards, it contains lots of silver: ingots, hack silver, arm rings and finely crafted jewellery, plus it holds the largest quantity of gold objects ever recovered from this period of British and Irish history.
