ILLUMINATE ADELAIDE

Get ready for Illuminate Adelaide 2025 this July, as the city transforms with light, sound, and art. From drones lighting up the sky over Adelaide Oval and a live performance from Velvet Underground’s John Cale, to neon dinosaurs around the Zoo, this is no ordinary winter festival. The National Wine Centre is turning up the heat this winter with The Drop In: Reds Edition – The Rise of Alternative Varieties, a Friday night celebration of reds from across the country. BRITISH & IRISH LIONS TOUR 2025

On July 12th, Adelaide Oval is hosting a huge blockbuster clash, as the Lions face off against an invitational Australia-New Zealand XV in the final Tour game before the first Test. Dubbed the unofficial ‘fourth Test,’ the match is the first time in 30 years that Australia and New Zealand have united on the rugby field. DROUGHT BREAKER LUNCH

The first-ever Drought Breaker Lunch will take over the Adelaide Showground on Friday, July 18th, bringing an afternoon of incredible food, connection and generosity. Hosted by the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of SA, in partnership with Rural Aid and Rural Business Support, every dollar raised will go directly to farming families across South Australia still battling drought, and supporting them with mental health services, emergency assistance and long-term wellbeing programs.

South Australia’s biggest winter wine festival is coming to the Adelaide Hills this July, with more than 50 producer events popping up across the region in celebration of the signature cool-climate reds being produced. The Willunga Almond Blossom Festival is back, and there’s something for everyone, making it the perfect winter weekend outing for the whole family.
