Tasting Australia
April 30 – May 9

Tasting Australia is where foodies come to discover what’s new on the menu. Be it a collaboration among world-class chefs, an inimitable tasting of beer, wine or spirits, or an evening soaking up the charred flavours and aromas of Town Square, Tasting Australia is unique and moreish food and beverage experiences. Chilli Festival
April 6 – May 6

Madame Hanoi is hosting their inaugural Chilli Festival at their multi-award winning bistro everyday until May 6. For the coveted festival, the dinner menu features 13 chilli infused dishes ranging in heat, along with four house-made chilli sauces featuring locally grown South Australian chillies. There are also two bottled chilli sauces available for purchase, featuring Chef Raj’s ‘Smoky Dragon’ (1/5 on the heat scale) and not for the faint hearted, the ‘Dark Horse’ (an eye watering 5/5).

Urban Kitchen
April 30 – May 9

Experience South Australia at its most delectable as Rundle Mall brings together the state’s finest regional producers, artisans and iconic local brands all under the one roof — or the Gawler Place Canopy, to be precise. Presented by Rundle Mall and Farquhar, expand your cooking skills with live demonstrations and tastings from Sprout. Watch as these talented chefs whip up mouth-watering recipes using their favourite local produce from South Australian regional producers. After the demonstration, you’re invited to sample an amazing range of local products to stock up your own pantry, before setting out to find delicious eateries and homeware retailers throughout the Precinct. Market & Meander Restaurant Launch
May 2021

Adelaide’s CBD has welcomed a brand-new dining venue to the bustling Adelaide Central Market as a part of the recent addition of Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets. Located on the ground floor, Market & Meander Bar & Eatery is not only a visually gorgeous venue but offers a distinct menu that pays honour to local flavours, produce and the multicultural influences of both Grote and Gouger Street. The eclectic interior is beyond Instagrammable, with accents of pink and red throughout, featuring plush booth seating and an earthy brick backdrop in what creates a vibrant and inviting space. May 7-16

Adelaide Food Fringe is the 100% Open Access food and drink festival that supports SA’s spectacular industry across 9 days, 7-16 May 2021!

Bowerbird Markets
May 7–9

Bowerbird, Adelaide’s leading design event returns to the Adelaide Showgrounds from 7 – 9 May, presenting some of Australia’s most exciting designers and brands. Enjoy three days of great art, design, artisan food and craft beverages when this much-loved biannual event returns. Get creative with terrific workshops across the weekend led by qualified local artists and DreamBig Festival will be providing kids activities!  Just in time for Mother’s Day there will be a large selection of brands across a wide range of products; accessories, skincare, stationery, clothing, art, homewares, jewellery, kids’ toys and pantry treats; with over 160 local and interstate designers, a third of them new or emerging, there’s something for everyone!

The Winter Village
May 14 – September 5

For the first time ever, The Winter Village is coming to Adelaide this May. The alpine-inspired winter wonderland will be open daily and will run for nearly four months, from 14th May – 5th September. The Winter Village will transform the Torrens Parade Ground into a 3600m2 winter wonderland, complete with an ice skating rink, an igloo village, daily snow showers and food & drink pop ups serving the ultimate cosy comfort food. Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend
May 14-23

The Clare Valley is one of Australia’s premier wine regions and the Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend festival was the first food and wine event of its kind. During the week, the Clare Valley will be abuzz with mini-events, dinners, masterclasses and more. Showcase’s Support SA Wine Expo
May 16-17

Showcase SA is hosting an epic tasting event to highlight the quality of the state’s wine industry, and prove why 2021 really is ‘The Year of South Australian Wine.’ Guests are invited to taste over 200 wines from over 50 different local wineries at the National Wine Centre of Australia, during Showcase SA’s two-day Support SA Wine Expo. The general public can enjoy the expo on the 16th, whereas the 17th is a networking event for business owners or hospitality professionals.

Coriole Music Festival
May 22-23

Back for another year of fine chamber music, the Coriole Music Festival encompasses two days of beautiful chamber music, with meals and wine included. There are two concerts on Saturday and one on Sunday. Each of the weekend’s three concerts will be followed by a delicious meal in the Coriole courtyard, where performers and audience can mix while enjoying fine food by chef Tom Tilbury and superb Coriole wines. On each morning, before the first concert, Artistic Director Anna Goldsworthy will give a talk to introduce the program of music. Find out more here.
