Tickets are on sale now for South Australia’s favourite event, the Royal Adelaide Show.
The best of the country returns to the city for nine days of activity starting on Saturday, 2 September. Royal Adelaide Show CEO Will Rayner said the team was working hard behind the scenes to ensure that this year’s Show will be one of the best ever.
“South Australians love the Royal Adelaide Show and we can’t wait to welcome people from across the state back to Wayville,” Will said.
“The Show will bring together more than 4,500 animals, 50 carnival rides, more than 330 commercial exhibitors, and over 400 different showbags.
Amongst all the activity are 100 things to do, free of charge with show entry. We’ve brought together the top 20.
1) Bluey!
Wackadoo! Everyone’s favourite Bluey and her little sister Bingo are heading to the Royal Adelaide Show! Find them on the Goyder Stage Monday to Thursday at 12pm.
2) Cow Milking
Have you ever milked a cow? Give it a try in the Milking Barn!
3) Taste SA Pavillion
Follow your taste buds and try all of the delicious local produce in the Taste SA Pavilion.
4) Airtime FMX Team
Cheer on the Airtime FMX team as they jump and flip their motorbikes, then get a selfie and autograph from the team after their show in the Main Arena.
5) Farmyard Nursery
Get up close to the adorable baby animals in the Farmyard Nursery.
6) Horticultural Stage
Learn all about plants and fresh produce with seminars and demonstrations on the Horticultural Stage.
7) The 60 Four
Hear the biggest hits of the 1960s performed by The 60 Four. One of SA’s top acts will dazzle every day with classic songs, world-class harmonies, smart suits and slick choreography. Performing daily on the Boulevard Stage.
8) Costa Georgiadis
Meet Costa Georgiadis as the star of Gardening Australia on ABC TV entertains the crowds on the Horticulture Stage in the Goyder Pavilion.
9) Cellar Door Experience
Learn about the characteristics, styles and varieties of different wines and beers with the Cellar Door Experience.
10) 9News Experience
Take a photo on the 9News set and watch the bulletin presented live at 6pm.
11) Chicken Run 2.0
Enjoy the action, slapstick comedy and precision stunts of Chicken Run 2.0, the hilarious show that celebrates our rich farming history in Australia. Performing daily in the Main Arena.
12) Baby chickens
Feeling clucky? Hold a baby chicken on the upper level of Stirling Angas Hall in the Poultry, Pigeon and Egg Pavilion.
13) Superheroes… with PJ masks!
Learn what it takes to be a superhero with PJ Masks on the Goyder Stage Monday to Thursday at 2pm.
14) Woodchopping
Join in on the fanfare and clap, shout and cheer for the axemen and women in the Woodchopping Arena.
15) Learning Centre
Learn about farm life with sheep shearing, cow milking and baby animal feeding demonstrations!
16) Sophie Thomson’s 2023 Feature Garden
Learn how to make your outdoor space more liveable with Sophie Thomson’s 2023 Feature Garden called ‘COOL’ in the Goyder Pavilion.
17) Aggie’s Farm
Become a farmer for the day at Aggie’s Farm! Pick fruits, harvest veggies and collect eggs to take to the Farmers Market. Exchange your produce and receive a cute barnyard surprise! In the Stirling Angas Hall.
18) Paw Patrol!
Are you ready for a superhero- style PAW Patrol mission? Join Ryder, Chase, Skye, Marshall and Rubble from Monday to Thursday on the Goyder Stage at 4pm.
19) Beekeeper
See what the buzz is about at a working beehive. A beekeeper will appear live from inside the hive to teach you all about the insects.
20) RAA Fireworks
Finish your day of family fun as the RAA fireworks light up the sky every night.
