After undergoing major renovations in 2022, the Tusmore Park Wading Pool is looking better than ever. Since its grand reopening in March of that year, families have been raving about the fantastic new features. The upgraded facility has a fully fenced wading pool, new water fountains, and an adjacent lagoon pool. Plus, there’s now a spacious lawn area to the east and north, perfect for spreading out and relaxing while the kids enjoy the pool.
Originally opened over 50 years ago, the wading pool has been a popular place for many family celebrations and gatherings. Surrounded by shady trees, it’s the ideal setting for a day of summer fun. The recent renovations are all about family-friendliness, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Before you pack your towels and head there, here are a few safety tips to keep in mind:
- Supervision: Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while in the pool area.
- Dogs: While Tusmore Park is dog-friendly, furry friends are not allowed in the fenced pool area. If you bring your pet within 20 meters of the pool, you must keep them on a lead.
- Food and drinks: To keep the water clean and safe, food and drinks are not allowed in the wading area, and glass items are strictly prohibited.
- Smoking: For everyone’s comfort, smoking is not permitted within 10 meters of the pool.
